Borgo Santandrea Amalfi is the newest 5-star hotel opening on the Amalfi Coast.

It’s scheduled to open its doors to visitors in Spring, Covid permitting. I was immediately seduced by the harmonies of blue and by that fabulous situation.

Perched high against the characteristic allure of the village Conca dei Marini and the mountains of the Amalfi Coast, it sits on a cliff overlooking the sea, and so the views from the rooms are magical.

Borgo Santandrea features 29 rooms and 16 suites, each one with sea view and incredible panoramic vistas over the fishermen’s dock and the Amalfi coastline.

The design is characterised as traditional mediterranean meeting fifties style and of course respecting the local traditions. The style and history of Italy is reflected in the hand-made tiles, local stones, iconic and bespoke furniture, Murano glass, antiques, burnished brass, bronze and natural linen. Borgo Santandrea is the only hotel on the Amalfi coast with a pool

Besides the unique location and the style, Borgo Santandrea has the enviable attributes of having the only private sandy beach on the coast AND a saltwater pool!

Either walking through terraces and gardens or by using one of the eight elevators, guests can easily go from 90 meters above sea level to the magnificent sandy private beach where you can enjoy a light lunch.

There are also 3 restaurants, 2 bars and a fitness centre.

It just seems to be the perfect base to explore that romantic coast, don’t you think?
