Many of my readers are big Soho House fans or at least interested in their places. From a media-type clubhouse, it has become a property empires that cater to the creative middle-class, what we would call Bobos in French!
UPDATE: you can now read my full review of Soho Farmhouse.
Soho House Farmhouse has generated a lot of interest and the property looks really nice. I’m still trying to book there but it’s difficult if you’re not a member as all good days are already full.
So what’s in the plans for Soho House Barcelona and Amsterdam ?
In Amsterdam, Soho House will set base in the Bungehuis on the Spuistraat.
The ‘Bungehuis’ was built in the 1930s originally as a Trading Office, as of the 70s it has served as a university building. It has lots of striking architectural features.
Besides the general club areas, it will offer a gym, a screening room, a games room, and a restaurant for members, 79 hotel rooms, a library and a roof terrace.
On the ground floor, there will be a new outpost of Cecconi’s, a modern Italian restaurant which is well liked in London . Finally, on the ground floor, there will be a Cowshed, their spa brand.

You are joking about the middle class aspect, no? Are you aware of the cost of membership?
You can also book a hotel night without being a member, therefore the high cost of membership doesn’t apply.
