I got all excited when I explored the website of newly opened Finca Serena Mallorca. I had noted it in my list of new hotels with pool in 2019 and it’s now ready for booking with special prices for their soft opening in April.

It’s simple luxury reminds me of both Cal Reiet, which is so popular on my blog, and Heckfield Place.  In a way it’s the Mediterranean version of Heckfield Place.

Before you get too excited yourself, one important caveat: it’s only open to adults and children above 14 plus. So you either have to have well behaved teens, wait for them to grow up or go as a couple. Mademoiselle is soon to be 12 so we will only have two years to wait!

That aside, there is a lot to look forward to in that beautiful new five stars luxury hotel in Mallorca: peaceful rooms decorated in a mix of natural fabrics, warm tones offset by the coolness of the minimal polished concrete floors; a restaurant with an outdoor terrace shaded by olive trees, and for those of you into fitness, a range of gym rooms, yoga classes and fitness zones.

Pool wise, it’s all covered with both an outdoor pool and an indoor pool.  The spa also has a sauna and hammam.

The hotel is set in a beautiful landscape of 40 hectares with olive trees, cypresses, lavender, lemon trees, pines and local wine grapes. I suppose they’ll do a winery soon.  It is in Pla de Mallorca so right in the centre of the island, which makes exploring it very easy.
