Is it a hotel, is it a B&B, a vacation rental or a glamourous camping? Well Chateau d’Uzer is all of this and more.
It’s first and foremost a super castle in Ardèche, France, which has been carefully renovated and tastefully decorated. Rich bed and wall colours live in harmony with the old floors, the high ceilings and the windows opening onto the beautiful park and gardens.
Choose between staying on a B&B basis or in your own place
The bedrooms in the main building are on a bed and breakfast basis. Some of them are perfect for families as they have two rooms. There is also a flat with two bedrooms and vast bathrooms and you are then allowed to use the host’s kitchens to cook your meals.
For adults, there are diners on a common table in the evening. Children are invited to have diner beforehand and can then enjoy a movie in the cinema room. You could also rent one of the “roulottes” or the “cabane” for a glamping experience.
A beautiful pool shimers in the garden and there are also massages, old times games or a great library to keep you entertained. Unless of course, you decide to go and explore the region around.
It’s one of those places out of a movie where you can just imagine yourself watching life go by and being utterly relaxed. At those prices, it’s really worth trying one day!
Ardèche is definitely coming up with lovely places these days. Worth a visit, don’t you think?

I don’t know but being in France, I would venture that it should be pretty tasty. Not that I am biased of course 🙂
Hello Beth! To answer your question, breakfast at Château d’Uzer is awesomeI! It is rather served outside, on the beautiful terrace by the garden, or inside, in the cozy dining room. You can have baguette with homemade jams, French croissants, fresh fruit salads and cheeses from the region. You can also have coffee, tea, milk chocolate and fresh squeezed orange juice. Hope you enjoy it !!
