5 stylish boutique hotels Andalucia – the best places to stay in Andalucia

Spain B&BHotels

It’s been a bit difficult to find the time and calm required to write the blog this week. We are having a shower room added upstairs and the mess and noise from the work is quite disturbing.

Thankfully, I managed to find the time to have tea with a good friend, Emmanuelle and we chatted about holiday plans.  Turns out that she needed my help finding boutique hotels in Andalucia.

Some time this summer, they will leave the children with the grand-parents and go for a week in Andalucia. But she hadn’t booked any B&B Andalucia or so she asked me to find her a couple of stylish places between Seville , Granada and Cordoba at a decent price.

Here are some ideas for boutique hotels Andalucia.

Cortijada los Gazquez

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 85 euros including breakfast

Set in a national park, Parque Natural Sierra Maria – Los Velez  to the east of Granada, this former farm has been restored by Londoners who are very much into art, food and the environment. They run food, walking or art courses but you can also book the accommodation only. Breakfast is served and Donna can make diner upon request.  A lovely peaceful setting for this b&b andalucia.

Finca Naranja

  • 4 bedrooms
  • From 139 Euros

I came across this place about two years ago and really liked its cool vibe.  I actually considered booking us there this summer before we decided to stay in France. The owner was very nice and quick to respond to emails.  She is Dutch and as often with Dutch people, the style of the place is just perfect. Stylish but warm, not too busy but not minimalist either. Plus, nice views over the countryside and a pool to refresh yourself in.

Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza, one of the boutique hotels Andalucia to book

Look at this courtyard, doesn’t it transport you immediately to Seville ? I love how this building has retained its classical and typical andalucian architecture but added touches of luxury such as a pool on the roof !  There is also a spa. Of course, this has a price, higher than the other hotels in high season but you are in the centre of town so that has to compensate for it.

Cortijo del Marqués

  • 11 bedrooms
  • From 90 euros

Cortijo del marques, Andalucia, Spain, boutique hotel, From the Poolside blog on boutique hotels and stylish rentals for family holidaysFrom From Seville to Granada now. This hotel is located 18km north of the city and has the look of a stately home albeit in Andalucia.  You see that room ? The door on the side opens onto your own private terrace.  Imagine yourself  having a nap with a gentle breeze lifting the white veil curtains and the typical grasshopper sound in the background.  Once you finish your nap, head over to the pool and then have a nice apéritif in the lovely courtyard.  For families, the “cottages” are big enough for 4 of you.

Casa Rural Olivar

  • Five bedrooms (B&B) and three casitas to rent
  • From 89 Euros (minimum stay of 2 nights)

This B&B is located between Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba amongst the andalucian hills dotted with white villages. It overlooks the biggest lake of the region and has a lovely pool and terrace. The decoration is very simple to allow for the coolness to permeate the rooms.  The B&B is especially welcoming to families with 3 casitas where you can do you own cooking and have a double room as well as bunk beds for the kids.  They suggest lots of activities around the region for families: kayaking, horse riding, cycling, walking etc…

  1. I love the outside space of the first one and the pool and courtyard of Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza are beautiful. Lovely choices x

  2. All the Hospes properties in Andalucia are lovely. Cordoba in particular. Granada is good too – though Granada has quite a few other lovely romantic hotels too.
Elsewhere in Seville… Try the Casa 1800.

    • Thank you Jeremy for the tips, I will make sure to check Casa 1800 out. Saw on your Twitter profile that you were the author of the Frommer guide to Seville and Andalucia so a man to be trusted on this 😉

  3. Five of the many gorgeous places to stay around Andalucia, the choice is huge. Just stayed at the Hotel Balcon de Cordoba in Cordoba city and that is beautiful. As is the Hospes in Baeza but also Puerta de la Luna there.
