Ski time! I’m writing this post just a few days from Christmas and I know that some of you would love for me to list some ski hotels. To add to that previous round up, here are 10 new ones to look up from budget to moderate.
France
Le Taos hotel
- 22 rooms and 20 suites
- A suite for 4 is 360 euros per night (7 days booking required)

In the centre of Tignes le Lac, in the Rosset area, the Hotel Taos opened last December. They have good suites for 4 (with an independent living area), rent by the week and there is a small wellness area with an indoor pool. Perfectly located on the slopes, this hotel is ideal for beginner skiers, with easy access on and off the slopes.
Fahrenheit Seven hotel, Val Thorens
- B&B double rooms from £132 to £382; for half-board add £32pp
- fahrenheitseven.com

The new wave of design for Paris hotels has hit the mountains. Looking at the restaurant and room decor, you could feel like you are in the city. It sounds fun and on top of that, they are family-friendly with additional beds, interconnecting rooms, family suites, a ski kindergarten, kids menus, early suppers and games room!
RockyPop
- 148 bedrooms
- From 120 euros for a double bedroom or 200 Euros for a 4 people duplex
- http://www.rockypop-chamonix.com/

I first came across it via my blogger friend Argone who will likely post a review about it on her blog soon. Another hotel which has a lot of rooms but the prices are interesting and they have just opened this December 2016 so will still have availability for this winter. Their duplex are interesting for families.
Hotel Maison des Bois
- Rooms and also chalets with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
- From 350 Euros
- http://www.marcveyrat.fr/hotel/?lang=en

The new hotel by Marc Veyrat, a French Michelin chef who had taken a break. This new place is in the Alps with of course a fabulous restaurant and an indoor pool at the hotel. Not cheap though.
Hotel Aiguille Grive
- 6 residential chalets with 4 to 6 double bedrooms
- Hotel services in the main chalet
- From 210 Euros per person for half-board
- website

The hotel is made up of seven chalets. The main chalet houses the reception, restaurant, bar, lounge and sun terraces. The six residential chalets are connected to the main building by a covered walkway. Each chalet is offered as a single unit of 4, 5 or 6 double rooms. If you book a chalet for 8 of you, then it makes the night at 210 euros so that’s a good price.
Le Faucigny, Chamonix
- 8 rooms
- From 135 Euros
- Website

This hotel has been renovated by a couple and they’ve made sure to make it a nice compromise between a traditional hotel and a modern guest house. There are only 8 rooms and a nice little indoor pool and spa with sauna and treatment rooms. They have family rooms too.
Auberge Val Joli
- 17 bedrooms for 1 to 5 people
- 3 suites for bigger groups
- From 130 Euros in high season, 65 Euros in low season
- WebsiteLa Bergerie
- 27 rooms
- From 210 Euros in low season, a room for 4 is from 280 Euros
- Website

The hotel is a bit of an institution in Morzine. They are very family oriented with several of the 27 rooms being for at least 3 people. All rooms have cooking facilities and children under 12 can sleep for free in their parents’room so that can be a good deal. There is also an outdoor pool which is heated.
Switzerland
Huus
- 131 rooms
- From 235 £ per night
- Book at design hotels* which has special deals

A bigger hotel than the ones I usually feature here but this is a new different addition to Gstaad and is very kids-friendly. There is a 4th floor restaurant just for them where they can have diner their very own breakfast buffet. There is also quite a wonderful indoor pool!
Austria
Hotel Kirchenwirt
- 17 bedrooms and 5 apartments
- From 100 Euros for a double bedroom, an apartment is from 155 Euros
- Website

This is not a new new hotel but I came across it this year and thought the prices and decor really justified adding it here.
