Every other week or so I send my subscribers a list of new hotels, B&Bs or villas that have caught my eyes. I know that some of my readers don’t always want hotels with pools or are just looking for an easy stay on a roadtrip for instance so there’s plenty for them to choose from in the newsletter and the app.
Out of those 50 addresses or so that they received over the past few months, here are the ones with pools.
If you want to get the info as soon as I publish them, make sure to sign up to the newsletter. All addresses are also regularly added to the app.
The latest new hotel with pool opening in Croatia
Maslina Resort, Croatia
A brand new luxury waterside resort in a sheltered bay on the island of Hvar. The building is very modern but the 50 rooms with sea view have a chic and warm design. The beach is pebbles but there are two pools to enjoy. It’s well suited for families with a kids’ club, family rooms or interconnecting rooms and three villas. Double rooms from €300 (£258) in low season; and from €500 (£430) in high. Breakfast included.
Villa Nai 3.3, Dalmatia, Croatia
You have to check the pictures of this one as the architecture is quite something. Set on the picture-perfect Croatian island of Dugi Otok, this five-star hotel is built within the hills across almost ten acres of organic olive groves connected to the main building via a series of private terraces. The hotel comprises eight individually furnished and decorated units with terraces. There is a 75-foot outdoor, saltwater infinity pool, a spa, and two restaurants. Only kids above 12 years old. From 750 euros.
The boutique hotels with pools I spotted in France
70 hectares… et l’océan , Seignosse, France
The Domaines de Fontenille do it again and, after Les Hortensias, in Hossegor, where my brother lives, they have renovated a golf hotel now called 70 hectares. It’s a 4-star hotel and restaurant in Seignosse on a beautiful estate overlooking the rolling lawns of the Golf de Seignosse. There is also an outdoor pool. From 150 euros.
Les Chambres de Mila, Corsica
Located on the heights of Rondinara bay, in the south-east of Corsica, halfway between the towns of Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio, this charming hotel has 7 rooms. It is only 5 minutes from the famous beach of Rondinara and there is also a pool on site. From £398 for 3 nights.

Get back to those hotels with pools in Italy
Fancy an isolated retreat? Then you will love this spiritual health retreat which is set in a remote forested valley deep in the heart of Umbria. Rooms – or celluzzes – capture the silence and simplicity of a monastic cell but you still get the modern comforts of air-conditioning-free coolness in summer and wood fired under-floor heating in winter. There is a spa with an atmospheric thermal plunge pool and a stone steam room. Full board from £175.
Gloriette Guesthouse – Ritten, Südtirol
In the South Tyrol, Gloriette Guesthouse sits at 1200 meters. The 25 rooms and suites are spacious and modern, and they all have a terrace or private garden with fantastic views. But it’s the pool on the rooftop which is really special: an infinity pool with an all-round panoramic view and an unusual roof structure. Children over 14 years are welcome. From £677 for 3 nights.
Mallorca hotels with pool
Sa Cova Fornalutx, Mallorca
A charming Mallorcan home with spectacular Tramuntana views, saltwater pool and citrus grove. Idyllically on the edge of Fornalutx, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. 2800 Euros for a week in high season.
Concepcio by Nobis, Palma de Mallorca
Situated in an enviable location where the Old Town meets Santa Catalina, Concepció by Nobis was originally built in 1576 and used to be a soap factory. 31 guestrooms and suites, an in-house restaurant and lounge, and spaces for meetings and events — all designed by award-winning Swedish firm Wingårdhs. There is a pool in the courtyard.
New boutique hotels with pools in the UK
Located in the heart of rural Staffordshire, this hotel calls itself “a deconstructed hotel” because none of the rooms are in a building but instead in huts, treehouses or boathouses. You can get all the classic services of a hotel though with a restaurant and dining options, room service, heated outdoor pool and a spa. From £220.
We love the Newt and I alerted you of their extension a few years ago! It is now open. The Farmyard is a range of 17 hotel suites, spread between a former farmhouse and several other outbuildings. The look is a bit more scandi chic but the appeal is still there with a new restaurant, swimming pool and spa facilities. From £450.
