Sometimes you come across a hotel such as Hotel les Charmettes and you’re like “oh yes, I can so see myself going there for a weekeend” Les Charmettes is very close to “little charming things” in French and it’s certainly the feel you get from looking at their photos.

This hotel has a very enviable position by the Saint Malo sea front.  You can have your breakfast literally centimeters from the beach (look at those photos).   It is definitely one that I added to my book of beach boutique hotels under 200 Euros!

The owners have recently renovated the hotel, which is formed of  two 19th-century villas. The decor is simple and comfortable and  all seaside rooms have a small balcony overlooking the sea.

The Les Charmettes villa, which houses the bistro restaurant, is located on the seafront. The Nitouche villa, set back from the street, is a residence at the back of the garden on the courtyard side, and has no seaview but is more peaceful.

Looking at the photos ,it’s all very “bon enfant” and welcoming.  The restaurant serves amazing seafood platters from the look of it.  Having been born and raised by the Atlantic Ocean, I love those and I’m sure you will too.

Who is ready to jump on the train/flight to go eat this, listen to the sea waves and smell the fresh air of the ocean?  I’m in!
