When Casa Tuja popped up on my Insta feed via the account of Nice2Stay, I knew I had to take a closer look. It is a villa rental in Molise, an unknown region in the centre of Italy.
- 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5 people
- From 2650 Euros a week in June
The owner runs yoga and holistic retreats at the weekend but the house is available to rent in its entirety throughout the year.
And what a lovely holiday home it looks to be. I love the style which is pared back but stays cozy with the addition of textures, fabrics next to some colder materials such as polished concrete. The 2 bedrooms invite you to relax and take a nap when the sun is too hot.
Outside, there is a nice pool (not heated) to swim or to relax by with a view over the countryside. If you come with young children in the summer, there is another more shallow pool for them.
The house is for 5 people so more for a family with three children or two families with babies/toddlers who would sleep in your room.
Despite being in a less touristy area, there are some attractive options in terms of activities: the beach is 35 minutes away only and is near the old fortified town of Termoli, whose historical center is worth a visit as well. Being close to the Apennines, the house is also a good base for winter.
One I’m keeping an eye on for a future holiday.
