Les Maisons de l’Hotel particulier: the new suites in the Alpilles by l’Hôtel Particulier

France Hotels

I still remember my first stay at L’ Hotel Particulier in Arles: the white room was fabulous and the breakfast in the garden was very special.  Mr Big and I felt as if we had been granted the keys to a very special private home in the middle of the city.  This was our second holiday together and the start of our appreciation for beautiful places.

So it’s of course with personal interest that I just found out that they have now opened two new houses in Maussane les Alpilles (where we had also stayed at L’Hotel B Design & Spa, which didn’t leave us with as many good memories).

Les Maisons de l’Hotel particulier: a special treat in an old priory

Santa Anna and San Leon are two houses, each with 5 bedrooms in a former 15th century priory. rooms opened on a cloister and a big garden, a spa buried under the big trees.

Each has five bedrooms and suites with garden views and a sublime pool.

The decoration is simple chic: we find again the white linen walls and sheets that is the trademark of L’Hotel particulier, associated this time with  pale gray waxed concrete, old chests of drawers and consoles, fabric poufs, antique doors and carefully curated objects.

They serve breakfast but not diner although you can use the fabulous kitchen housed in a vaulted room.  In any case, there are many restaurants to try in the village.  Having been there a couple of times, I can tell you you can go from simple delicious pizza to more elaborate French classic diner and you can also go to L’Hotel B Design & Spa previously mentioned for a high cuisine diner.

Despite having a family suite, it seems that this place is for those with older children only as they can’t add a bed in the room. But it was so pretty that I thought it was worth sharing with you.
