Maison d'Aix, an intimate boutique hotel in Aix en Provence

A few weeks ago, my parents asked me for some recommendations in Aix en Provence. There are many great places there but I knew I had seen a nice one. I just couldn’t remember where exactly.

Yesterday, when looking through my list of planned content, I found it! A very well located boutique hotel with clean, modern rooms and a great breakfast. So here it is, friends, Maison d’Aix.

It is tucked away on a quiet side street but just off the Cours Mirabeau, which is the most famous street in the city with big oak trees on either side, main strip in Aix en Provence. So you are within minutes from all of Aix’s cafes, restaurants and historic sites.

The owner has made sure that the home is welcoming: it’s spacious yet intimate, beautifully decorated. It only has 4 rooms so you’re sure to have a peaceful time and it has a small indoor pool!

The breakfast is set on a large table and you can meet other guests and have a little chat if you want to.

It was too late for my parents to enjoy but hopefully this will be a good address for all of you.
