My friends Michel and Emmanuelle are a French-Greek couple who spend every summer in Greece. They have sang me the praises of Ktima Lemonies for a while and I’m sorry that I didn’t get to post about it before.
Because, yes, what they said is right, Kitma Lemonies is a little piece of paradise.
In the North-West of the island, Ktima Lemonies (The Lemon Tree Estate) is a typical house planted with lemon trees, nestled in the pretty traditional village of Lamyra, 2 km from the Andros Chora and the sea.
The property consists of a main building, the old farmhouse and the pigsty, all perfectly restored and converted into rooms.
One of them has a double bedroom and a sitting room with two single beds, making it the perfect choice for families.
Everything at the guesthouse is done in a charming country-style: floors are made from pale brick, most furniture is antique; beds are very comfy and bathrooms with walk-in showers are pretty.
How to enjoy the greek way of life
There is a small swimming pool that can be heated on demand. Or you can just seat in the lounge chairs and read a book under the shadows of the lemon trees.
They serve breakfast every day but you can also help yourself with fruits from the orchard. If you rent the whole property, you can ask to have some diners cooked for you as well.
Andros is a beautiful island with gorgeous beaches. As usual in Greece, you can do some hikes, rent a boat and explore the coast or just soak the sun!
So a huge thank you to my friends for sharing their secret hideaway with us, I’m sure many of you will appreciate it!
