By now, I should probably have called this the Amsterdam fortnight but all good things come to those who wait. Today and to conclude the series (which covered a review and a selection of hotels and B&Bs) here are several pretty holiday rentals for you and your family.
And to get you in the mood, I recommend you check Kate’s stunning photos of the city.
- 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people
- From 360 Euros per night
I came across this flat as the owners live opposite one of my friends who recently moved to Amsterdam. She told me that they were very nice. The flat has been designed with families in mind and, although there is no living room, there is a kitchen/dining room and you can use their utility room as well as their private garden. They are in the museums area and a short tram or bike ride will take you to many of the best attractions of Amsterdam.
Historic Multatuli flat
- 3 bedrooms, sleeps 8
- From £244
A wonderfully bright and spacious white and light wood flat which is perfect if you have more than 2 children ! Located near a park but a short tram again to the main attractions. The owners live downstairs and can help with many requests.
Short & Suite 500
- 2 bedrooms
- From 250 Euros
A very central flat in the canals area of Amsterdam with 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen and a good living room where children can play. The bathroom also has a walk-in shower and the prices, especially in low season, are really worth it.
- 3 flats with one bedroom each
- 205 euros per night
The main advantage of this place is that they have several flats in two buildings so this is ideal if you want to go with another family but not be on top of each other. Each flat has its own kitchenette and depending on its size a relatively welcoming living room. The buildings are in the 9 streeets area a new fashionable neighborhood of Amsterdam.
- 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4
- From £147
How typical would it be to live on a houseboat in one of the Amsterdam canals. Well this rental allows you to do that and it’s not even shabby. 4 people can sleep there and the kids will certainly like the cabins. What an adventure
