Writing this post about Villa Palmier in Saint Barth, I really felt like I was transported to a warm and sunny place. I could picture myself relaxing on the terrace of that wonderful villa…   More and more, I dream of winter sun and may add more places such as this one .

Another way to enjoy Saint Barth

Villa Palmier, is a fantastic house that you can rent for your holidays.  St Barth is a very expensive island so this could be an interesting option, especially if you go with some friends and share the costs.

As you know St Barth has been badly hit by Hurricane Irma but it’s springing back to life. Many of the hotels are still to reopen so again, a villa seems a good option to enjoy the island while supporting the local economy.

This villa belongs to Kate & Matt Holstein, an American couple who share their time between Colorado and the Caribbeans. They create a wonderful white and relaxing decor, which they rent out when they’re not here.

The exterior of the villa has a stunning view looking out onto the lush bay of Anse de Cayes, one of the island’s surfing beaches. The charming outdoor space serves as a second living room. It consists of a large pool with ipé wood surround, an outdoor shower with hot & cold water, and inviting lounge …

Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Personal touches and attention to detail are found throughout the house. The spacious open air kitchen features a lacanche range, perfect for cooking fresh fish from the local fish market.

In terms of beaches, you may have to drive.  This villa is near Marigot, which isn’t really a beach, more of a marine preserve, and as such boasts some of the best snorkling on the island. It is a wonderful place for an early morning swim according to the locals as  you will probably be the only one on the beach.

Marigot though is a great location as you are close to Lorient and the Guanahanni, and other St Barth Beach resorts.

In any case, just relaxing on this terrace by the pool should be enough for a few days, don’t you think?
