Les Bulles de Mer should really be the answer to every family’s wish.  You wouldn’t believe the number of people who ask me for a beach hotel with heated pools that is close to a village or attractions!  I always said that those who would create this would have a great market waiting for them.

Well les Bulles de la Mer has all of that and I have exclusive photos!

I first came across it via Anne from White Velvet, a hotel consultant who has great knowledge of the market.  And I’m really pleased that she and the team behind les Bulles de la Mer chose to share their first new photos with me (which are not on their website!).

Les Bulles de la Mer is actually the reinvention of an existing hotel.  The owners have decided to totally review its decor, offering and to really match the new expectations that families have.  Which is to say: style and services with a great location.

The hotel is ideally located between beach and lagoon, in Saint Cyprien, located in the department of Pyrenees Orientales a part of the Occitanie region.

Facilities and activities for everyone in the family

There is everything to relax and to enjoy the perfect family holiday.  First of all, you are just close to the beach!  No need to take a car, you just walk out of the hotel and you’re there! Then the two pools will ensure that you can swim in warm waters if the sea is too cold. One of them is heated. And there are plenty of lounge chairs around.

If you want activities, then the hotel offers yoga classes – yoga paddle – tonic walking at sea –  as well as bicycles. Access is free to the tennis court, the sports field, the petanque and table tennis and yoga mats or meditation are loaned.

For a little indulgence head to the spa where several treatments are available with products from Decleor or Thalgo.  If you want to use the spa facilities without a treatment you have to pay 15 euros for half day. I suppose it’s to limit the number of people there.

Finally you’ll be able to enjoy food either in the restaurant or the beach bar. With a new talented chef at the helm,the restaurant aims to source produce from the local area and to create easy but tasty dishes that can be enjoyed in the various spaces of the hotel.

An harmony of blues characterise the decor

Inside, the colour scheme couldn’t be closer to my own tastes with a harmony of blue, associated to sand, yellow and mustard. Blue is my favourite colour as you can see by the design of this blog!

Annabelle Fesquet, the interior designer chose to reflect the environment in which the hotel is with materials such as wood, wicker, braided rope and linen.

Local craftmen created the tapestry and carpentry as well as the custom furniture in the rooms and different spaces of the hotel. The decorative objects, happily matched, were sourced carefully and selected alternately at Athezza, Lazare Home and Maison Pernoise, a regional reference for the latter. The multiple seats, armchairs, chairs and stools distributed between the rooms, the “Les Heures Bleues” lounge, the restaurant “Les Ganivelles” and Bar “Indigo” are signed Pols Potten, Bloomingville, Athezza while the outdoor furniture- bringing touches of blue outdoors too – comes from the Pedrali collection.

Family bedrooms have not been renovated but they are the cheapest off season

While all the other rooms benefit from this new decor, the family bedrooms have not yet been renovated.  Up to you to choose to go for two new lower category double bedrooms (starting at 129 euros each) or to go for the old look family rooms that start at only 89 Euros!  In summer though they go up to 202  Euros.

They are 28 m² in size with one bedroom located in the entrance with 2 bunk beds and the main room separated from it . From the terrace equipped with a lounge, you will enjoy the side view of the lagoon or the surrounding mountains of Albères.

Seems to me like a good way to have a well priced holidays in a boho chic hotel with heated pool and access to the beach. And given that they are opening at the end of this week, there are still plenty of availabilities for this summer!
